I was a bit taken back when an Allen Edmonds customer told me he had gifted a pair of his favorite Allen Edmonds to his son ,who had just joined the workforce – to work for his father in the family business.

His gift to his son was clearly far more than a pair of well worn shoes. He was preparing his son to walk in his shoes by literally giving him his shoes to walk in.
